"Prank Bottle Bombs" Any Kid Can Make

Making a bottle bomb using water, aluminum foil and another common kitchen chemical and setting it in your yard is a prank that kids are pulling around the country.

Notice in the video that the camera, some 10 feet away, was splattered with this acidic liquid. You can hear it sizzling too.

Kids are putting the three needed ingredients in soda bottles and capping it up - leaving it on lawns. When you go to pick up the trash, and the bottle is shaken just a little - in about 30 seconds or less it builds up a gas and explodes with enough force to remove some of your extremities.  The liquid that comes out is boiling hot as well.

Don't pick up any plastic bottles that may be lying in your yards or in the gutter, etc., . . .  The explosion
is powerful enough to blow off fingers and acidic enough do acid damage to your face and eyes.

People are finding these "bombs" in mailboxes and in their yards, just waiting for them to pick up to put in the trash. Don't pick one up to dispose of it yourself. You'll never make it to your trashcan!!! It takes about 30 seconds to blow after you move the thing. Here is a police warning that says they are powerful enough to blow up mailboxes.
  • If you find a soda bottle or any other bottles, examine it carefully before you touch it or get near it. If it shows signs of swelling or melting in any way, do not touch it. Call 911.
  • If you find a soda bottle that has any liquid in it, don't touch it and call 911.
"SNOPES" says it's true. Check it out for yourself. "Truth or Fiction" agrees that this is true as well.
Be warned and beware. Be AWARE!

Riding for Freedom Once Again

Priests for Life has a summary of Saturday's Freedom Ride events.

The unborn are the only class of people in the United States who are denied their unalienable right to life. Abortion is not just a women's issue or a religious issue. Abortion is a violation of the civil rights of more than one million human persons every year. The Pro Life Freedom Rides connect the civil rights movement of the 1960s to the civil rights movement for the unborn today.

Pray for the end of abortion!
